Overview & Itinerary

The Har Ki Dun Trek is a fantastic Himalayan expedition, and it is tucked in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park which is one of the most beautiful parks in the state of Uttarakhand. It is a picturesque route which is commonly referred to as the Valley of the Gods due to the panoramic mountainous views, fertile green fields, dense alpine forests and an environment of peace and spiritual emanptions.

Har Ki Dun is not simply a trek but it is a trail through ages; the ages of tales and timeless beauty of nature and untrodden country that can still be traced back to pre-Mughal pioneers and legendary heroes. As per the popular folklore, this valley was once ruled by King Duryodhana of the Mahabharata fame and as such, the Pandavas are said to have transversed through the valley on their last trip to the Swargarohini Peak, which was believed to be the stairway to heaven.

Neighboring pine forests, flowering meadows like Devsu Bugyal, and serene Supin River that trickles with you all through the trek are among the things you will encounter as you walk in and along the serene trails. Crystal clear waters of the rivers, abundance of birds and dense riverbanks give each step a beautiful impression.

Another greatest feature about this trek is that you get a chance to enjoy the local Garhwali culture. The trekkers are more than welcome to the traditional villages, such as Taluka, Osla, Gangad and Panwani where the simple yet soulful way of life in the mountains has never changed since generations.

The Har Ki Dun Trek Uttarakhand is not about the sceneries rather it is about attaining the inner peace, being in touch with the surrounding nature and endearing and immersing yourself into the Garhwal Himalayas which remain untouched to the date. This is an all season paradise whether you love nature or want to just explore with wildflowers in the spring and golden forests in the autumn.
