Hindus consider that Char Dham Yatra is among the most sacred and well-recognized pilgrimages ell-known during which visit the four holy destinations in the Uttarakhand state. These four places are of importance to the Hindus and they include Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
Here an overview of each of the four pilgrimage sites:
Yamunotri: Yamunotri rising at a height of 3,293 meters is the origin of Yamuna River in Garhwal Himlaya. The visitors are fully attracted by the Yamunotri temple that is the temple of Goddess Yamuna. The pilgrims are forced to cover a six kilometers distance on foot to Janki Chatti temple.
Gangotri: It is in the Uttarkashi district and the source of holy river Ganges lies at 3,100 meter which is the actual source of the holy river above the sea level. The centre of interest in this pilgrimage site is the Gangotri temple since it is located at a place dedicated to Goddess Ganga. People pay a visit to the temple where they walk within 19 kilometers to the town of Gangotri.
Kedarnath: Lord Shiva is highly recognized in Kedarnath which is located in high altitude of 3583 meters, in Rudraprayag. Importance Kedarnath Temple is important because it is one of the temples of Jyotirlinga. Walking from Gaurikund takes nearly 15 kilometers and help from pony or palanquin is available to those who do not walk.
Badrinath: Badrinath, found 3,133 meters high in Chamoli, is devoted to Lord Vishnu. The Badrinath temple which also goes by Badri Vishal, is much visited by pilgrims. Uluu is open by road to everyone, while the other three are not.
The Yatra of Char Dham Tour Package is Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. According to Hindu lunar calendar, the journey is performed every year during the period of April-May and October-November.

How to Arrive Char Dham Yatra
Char Dham journey has to be properly planned and you should be aware of different ways to arrive at the destinations. Transport is not a problem in India as all the major cities are connected both by ways of road, rail, and air. Top 3 Ways to Reach Char Dham:
By Air: Air travel is faster than other means, so it is choosing by many, even though air tickets are usually more expensive. Flights to Dehradun are available directly to the Jolly Grant Airport. It takes about a 30-kilometer trip to reach Dehradun city from the airport on board a taxi or public bus. Haridwar tourists can also find their nearest airport at Jolly Grant.
By Train: You can use trains for great comfort during your travels. Some great express trains that travel to Haridwar are Nanda Devi, Kota Express, Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi, and Vande Bharat.
By Road: Road travel may be cheap, but it takes more time than flying. Cheaper options for traveling to Haridwar are the direct Volvo bus options. Hiring a cab directly to go to Char Dham Yatra Tour is a better choice for those after convenience.
Day 1: Haridwar to Barkot.

Uttarkashi is a spiritual destination, so make it your next stop on the way. After coming to Uttarkashi, visit the Vishwanath Temple and Shakti Temple which are inside the town.
On Day 4, we will drive to Gangotri and back to Uttarkashi.

You will drive through the spectacular Harsil Valley, which was made famous by its scenic beauty that has not been touched yet, Deodar trees and high mountains. Come to Shree Gangotri, have bath in the holy water of Ganges (Bhagirathi) and participate in the holy worship at the holy place.
Day 5: (Uttarkashi - Guptkashi/Sonprayag/Sersi/Phata).
Pick-up Point: Uttarkashi

Enjoy the beauty of the Mandakini River which flows through Tilwara to Guptkashi.
Day 6: Guptkashi or Sonprayag or Sersi or Phata to Kedarnath.

The trip from Sonprayag to Gauri Kund should be by taxi which will cost you INR 30-50 per seat paid directly to the driver. You can soak in the Aarti Ceremony at the temple if your arrival is extra early in Kedarnath, during the evening while the Kedarnath range looks amazing.
Day 7: Kedarnath to Guptakashi/Sonprayag/Sersi/Phata.
Pickup: From Sonprayag
Time Taken: 3-4 Hrs

Accommodation: Triple Bed Standard
Attend the Aarti Ceremony at Kedarnath Temple at the opening of your day. Ride a local taxi from Gaurikund to the Sonprayag Taxi Stand at your expense. Trip of 16 to 18 Km go to Gaurikund.
Day 8: Guptkashi/Sonprayag/Sersi/Phata to Badrinath.

Several individuals make a conventional bath at Tapt Kund, that is situated along the banks of Alaknanda River, prior to going to Badrinath Temple. Mana Village is the last inhabitable Indian village situated in the border of India and Tibet where the Indo-Mongolian tribe inhabits the area. Vasundhara is walked up through Badrinath (5 kilometer) and further 2 kilometer by the road to Mana. Bhim Pul: A huge formation that bridges the Saraswati River, as Bhim from the Mahabharata is said to have left it there. Mana Village has Vyas Gufa, a cave that some say was the home of sage Ved Vyas, where he prepared the Mahabharata.
Day 9: Badrinath to Haridwar.
